A four day workshop in the heart of the english countryside, April 23-26, 2018
Where: Semley, Wiltshire, England
When: 23-26 of April 2018
What: A food, Photography and bustling a business boot camp
We´ll explore the local food scene which is thriving in this part fo England.
At the cottage we´ll cook, style and photograph and work with a cake genius in both learning a trick or two of how to make the most tasty and exciting cakes ever before using them in our photography sessions and enjoying afternoon tea by the fireplace.
I want this workshop to truly set you up for building your own business, how to brand, marketing, strategic use of social media, setting up or upgrading your website, finding clients and organise your work and portfolio.
We will also work on post editing, and how to literally be able to make a living from your passion.
Food & Drink: The Wiltshire county of England has rich food traditions that we´ll explore through local farms, our in-house cook and baker extraordinaire, Towards the end of each day we will gather for evening cocktail sessions led by mixologists, Theo Maxfield. You will learn a thing or two about drinks made with local botanicals and traditions, relax before dinner and pick up a few tricks on how the professionals make, serve and plan their cocktails.
Everyone will receive a menu with the cocktail recipes from Theo Maxfield.
Each day begins with freshly made breakfast in front of the fireplace.
We'll cook, style and photograph, focusing on becoming better at visual storytelling, creating a business, honing in on our creative dreams, and learning the ropes of the game.
Photography: As a core, and a red thread through this workshop is visual storytelling through photography, both on and offline, in building our photography skills, challenging our eye and creating strong images for your portfolio, website, social media, blog or editorial piece. We´ll have hands on styling and photography sessions, as well as post production in Lightroom, and learning about the use of the traditional dark room.
Business: We´ll also have building your business sessions that are tailored to getting you off the ground, or relaunching your passion and dream so that you can make a living from what you love.
This will be module based, like building blocks well address branding, strategic use of social media, marketing targeting the right audience, finding clients, and your website.
